I usually bring work home with me to attend to in the evenings while my daughter does her homework. We pass notes. It feels incredibly good to do that.

Hi Maria! Callum used to do his homework at the kitchen island while I made dinner, but now that 6th grade is here he needs the quiet of his bedroom to concentrate. I'm grateful for this, but it chafes at me too. I miss that homework time together. It was so nice to spend some time in his room with him...I love your note passing idea! I'll have to try it this week!
