spring creeps in {life}

All of Neel's hard work (Is it really work when it's such a labor of love?) is paying off and the garden is bursting into full-blooming color. My favorite time each spring is when the phlox is blooming along our front path and I can walk among it every time I go into the house. It's no longer 40º and sleeting. The tide has turned. I think it really has.

What is a phlox? Or is phlox plural? What are phlox? But now I want to say phloxes. Boxes. Phloxes. I love your backyard. It's perfect. It's quiet and beautiful and lush and shaded and I just want to sit out there with a gin cocktail and watch the sun fade. You are so lucky to have a husband that loves tending to that garden! It really paid off.

oh my goodness lauren! i love, love, love your garden and house. it is all so charming. it has that little bit of secret garden feeling that i have been enraptured with since i read the book. and such curb appeal. good job neel! it looks fantastic.

All his hard work has paid off! Look at that garden and all those beautiful blooms. Yay to no more 40 degrees and sleet! I am still seeing Instagram photos of snow, can you believe that? I feel for those who haven't yet felt spring in the air. Like you, we've recently had some unseasonable warmer weather. Definitely not ready for that just yet.

Great job capturing the back yard! My favorite photo has Thea in the background. For everyone out there, most of the credit for the yard can go to Lauren who is the Muse for much of what I have done in that space. Also, a lot of the ideas have come from blogs she has found. It takes a village.

It takes a village :)
What a lovely path, I'd like to skip up that. I like the photo with the daffodils best. the front of our house is a mess as it's all dustbins up the street as no one has anywher eto store them. So ugly.

It's funny how I have an upcoming post about garden and now after reading this, I'm itching to do some beauty for our backyard. I love everything about your garden. It's so inviting and private. I guess count me in for good fortune for having a partner who has a green thumb.

It is all beautiful! Your home, the garden/paving/flowers... all so lovely. Happy Spring days ahead xx
