What more is there to say about an amazing weekend getaway than we ate a lot, walked a lot, talked a lot and laughed a lot. Some of us colored our hair (not me), necessitating wine through a straw, and some of us did not. At one point we all started singing along with an 80s song on the iPod and we had to laugh. Would our husbands ever belt it out together to "Total Eclipse of the Heart?"
It was nice to come home though and see my guys again. Poor Callum is miserably unhappy with allergies right now. We watched Amadeaus and cooked out, and I put him to bed with some puffs on his inhaler and Vick's Vapo Rub. I'm hoping he's breathing easier this week. We're busy with work and three baseball games. What do you guys have on tap?

Amadeus! Bacon wrapped things! This sounds like a dream weekend, and mine ended with a few puffs of my inhaler, too. You can tell Cal we're asthma twins. Your girls weekend sounds restorative and delightful. Much needed! I bet you were happy to come home, too. Shot #6 with the pup looking up at you, like she knows you're leaving...heartbreaking and hilarious at the same time. "Take me with you, Momma" is the perfect caption! I'm glad your back. We should arrange our own girls weekend, oui?
fun times! i have to admit total eclipse of the heart gives makes me want to belt out in song every time. poor cal, my babes have allergies too. i used to have them and still carry an inhaler for emergency allergy attacks, but i grew out of them in my 20's. hopefully he will grow out of them too, because they are so very miserable! that last photo kind of sums it up. poor little fella. xo
Oh, your weekend sounds fabulous! I always sing along to Total Eclipse of the heart if I hear it on the radio, unfortunately I am not allowed to sing when P is riding in the car with me. My singing voice is not the best ;) Poor Cal, I feel my spring allergies creeping up as well. So far it's not that bad but my eyes are starting to itch and I have a constant headache...This week I am planning to finish my latest chair project, Thursday is already the last evening of my upholstery class and on Wednesday we are meeting with the lasndscape architect to get our backyard project rolling. Hopefully we'll be able to enjoy sitting in our yard soon...have a great week! xoxo
Ugh, I'm totally struggling with allergies now too - does nature hate us this year or what?
I'm going to echo Erin - Amadeus! When that movie first came out, it was my absolute favorite. I've seen it countless times. I may or may not have had a crush on Amadeus in high school. (Nerd!) Your girls' getaway sounds like so much fun! Imagining you belting out Total Eclipse of the Heart is making me smile. You know you're having a successful girls' getaway when you all start singing with wild abandon. Sorry to hear about Callum's allergies. That is no fun, at all. The pollen in VA is no joke.
I want to know more about your weekend! Is that all we get? x
so fun! i'm happy you got away and that boston, if it had to be, was after your fun singing, coloring hair, visiting. and welcome home. one of my children has spring allergies, and they can be awful. hope cal is feeling better! we're busy as usual here, but with students in shorts and great weather outside, it finally feels like spring. joy, n
